Water and natural resources are the foundation of sustainable rural development. We work with communities across the Marathwada region to restore ecosystems, conserve water, and strengthen climate resilience through watershed development and community-led natural resource management.
Our initiatives have transformed degraded landscapes by afforesting approximately 12,000 hectares of watershed land, significantly reducing soil erosion and improving ecological balance. We have deepened and restored more than 3,500 wells, enhancing access to water for drinking, agriculture, and livestock. In around 250 villages, community water reservoirs have been desilted, increasing their storage capacity and groundwater recharge. As a result of these integrated water conservation efforts, five villages have become drought-resilient, ensuring year-round water availability, improved agricultural productivity, and more secure livelihoods for rural families.
Through sustainable management of land and water resources, we are building resilient communities that can thrive in the face of climate change while safeguarding natural resources for future generations.
