The Reproductive and Child Health Check-up Camp focuses on providing a platform for reproductive and child health-related check-ups and awareness at the community level. The camp brings health-related activities closer to the people and creates an opportunity for community members to participate in health check-up services.
Through such field-level health initiatives, Saraswati Sevabhavi Sanstha engages directly with communities and supports activities focused on reproductive and child health. The photographs from the camp document the participation of community members and the health-related activities carried out during the initiative.
The initiative reflects the organisation’s grassroots approach, where community-level engagement and direct interaction are important components of its development work

Community-Level Engagement
The survey and health check-up initiative focuses on direct engagement with migrant sugarcane workers at the community level. Field-based interaction provides an opportunity to connect with workers, understand their circumstances and document information through a systematic survey process. Alongside the survey activity, health check-ups provide an important opportunity for workers to participate in health-related activities within the community.
Working directly with migrant workers allows the organisation to engage with a community that is often mobile because of seasonal employment. Community-level activities such as surveys and health check-ups create opportunities for direct interaction and help bring attention to the needs and circumstances of workers at the field level.
The photographs associated with this project document different moments from the survey and health check-up activities. They provide a visual representation of the organisation’s grassroots engagement and its field-level interaction with migrant sugarcane workers
